AI compliance, built in
Last updated: July 6, 2026
AI-altered listing media is now regulated. California's AB 723 requires disclosure when AI-generated or AI-altered images and video are used to market a property, and most MLSs have adopted similar rules. Realty Engine is designed so the compliant path is the default path.
What every Realty Engine video includes
- Burned-in disclosure. An "AI-generated visualization" label is rendered into every clip and the outro — it can't be cropped out by re-uploading or lost when the caption is edited.
- Source-photo retention. We keep the original listing photos each video was generated from, so there is always an audit trail from output back to source.
- No invented geometry. Videos are generated from the listing's own photos, room by room. Our quality gate reviews each clip for warped structures and artifacts before delivery.
- Human review on disputes. Regeneration requests are reviewed by a person, and the reasons feed back into the quality system.
What you're still responsible for
- Using photos you're authorized to market (your listing, or with the listing agent's/owner's permission).
- Following your own MLS's disclosure rules where they go beyond the burned-in label (for example, disclosure text in listing remarks).
- Accurately representing the property in your other marketing.
This page explains how Realty Engine supports compliance; it isn't legal advice. Rules vary by state and MLS — when in doubt, check with your broker or association.
